MAPFRE and Amazon have signed the first alliance in Spain between an insurance company and the e-commerce multinational. The agreement may be extended later to other international markets where MAPFRE is present.
It facilitates access to MAPFRE’s Virtual Office where visitors to Amazon.es can get information about, and take out, insurance policies. In addition, two lockers (for deliveries of purchases made on Amazon.es) have been installed at its corporate headquarters in Majadahonda (Madrid). Desirée and Faustina, as they are called, will serve the needs of some 4,000 employees who come to work each day at the insurer’s head offices.
