Antonio Huertas, MAPFRE chairman and CEO, participated in the summer course organized by the APIE (Association of Financial Journalists) at the Menéndez Pelayo International University with a talk entitled “The economy adapting to the blockchain. What is yet to come.” He highlighted the benefits of implementing blockchain technology in the insurance sector, given that it is a tool for facilitating, in a revolutionary manner, financial inclusion and the relevance of big data, artif icial intelligence and the IoT (Internet of Things) so that insurers can enhance their product rang e, anticipating and responding to the changing needs of clients.
