Fundación MAPFRE has presented its Brassaï exhibition in Barcelona. It offers a comprehensive journey through the career of this famous photographer born in Brassó in Transylvania (now Romania). During the interwar period, he
greatly enriched the potential of photography as a form of artistic expression. His fascination for Paris, for its light and its everyday scenes made his photographs famous.
It can be visited until May 13 at Fundación MAPFRE’s exhibition hall in Barcelona, followed by a stay in Madrid from May 31 through September 2, before moving on to San Francisco in the fall.
